The Opposition in Parliament has resolved to attend Thursday’s special plenary session that was meant to pay tribute to the fallen Papa Emorimor Augustine Lemu-kol Osuban who was the cultural leader and Paramount Chief of the Iteso community from Kenya and Uganda.

The 88-year-old Emorimor passed on at Mulago National Referral Hospital last week Friday after being diagnosed with Covid-19 since January 27th.

The Leader of Opposition in Parliament Mathias Mpuuga said they attended on condition of only conducting one business of eulogizing the Emorimor and later get out as he maintained that their two weeks plenary boycott is still on.

Meanwhile, the Opposition has also launched the signing of the censure motion against the Minister for Security Jim Muhwezi.

The signing has been honored by Mpuuga and another 30 opposition MPs.

They requires a third of the 529 MPs for the validation of the censure motion.

Furthermore, the Opposition has also launched the criminal registration books that will be put in every constituency.

The book will allow Ugandans across the country to register their complaints regarding torture, arbitrary arrests and detention without trial.
