The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has commenced the process of marking both the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) papers.

 

At least candidates 364,470 sat for UCE and for PLE 749,347 this year across the country.

 

Jennifer Kalule Musamba, the UNEB Principal Public Relations while addressing the media at Police Headquarters in Naguru this morning, noted that 33 marking centers have been gazetted for the exercise of which 13 will be for PLE and 20 for UCE and UACE examinations.

 

Kalule says that about 8000 examiners have been contracted to mark the UCE and 6,000 invited for marking PLE level.

 

She however says that first set of results is expected to be released during the third week of January 2024.
