A section of members of the Ugandan Parliament has congratulated Kenyans upon voting the 5th president in a peaceful election.

This is after the Kenya Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declared the Vice President Dr. William Ruto as the winner in the concluded general election.

Dokolo district Woman MP Cecilia Ogwal said that Kenyan elections have given Uganda a lesson in terms of having a peaceful election exercise and building unity and economic prosperity.

Bukoto Central MP Richard Ssebamala said that Ruto won because of early preparation, a good manifesto to the voters, especially the bottom up economic model he promised to save the economy.

Namayingo district woman MP Margaret Makhoha said that Kenyan elections should be used by Ugandan leaders to stop violence against their opponents and violating people’s rights.
