The Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board ( UBTEB)   has registered 57% increase in the number of registered candidates for the November/ December 2023 Examinations Assessment.

 

UBTEB has today 17th November kicked off their examinations with briefing and they will officially start writing these exams on Monday 20th upto 15th December from 624 examination centres.

 

A total of 102,132 candidates have been registered to sit November / December exams compared to 64,387 candidates who sat for the July -August exams.

 

Of these 34,822 are females and 67310 are males.

 

A total of 481 candidates with special needs are to sit for these examinations of which 297 are males and 183 are female pursuing various TVET professions and 95 candidates require special attention.

 

Speaking to the press in Kampala the Executive Director of UBTEB Onesmus Oyesigye noted that delivery of all examinations materials to the storage facilities will start tomorrow 18th across the country.

 

Oyesigye says to fight examination malpractice; the board has argued heads of centres to form examinations task forces at the institutional level to ensure that examinations are done in compliance with UBTEB rules and standards.
