Ministry of Education and Sports has released the 2018 Uganda Advanced Certificate Examination (UACE) results for a total of 98,524 candidates that sat the exams from the 99,576 candidates registered.

According to the results released at the Office of the Prime Minister in Kampala on Thursday, female candidates scored highly at the principal level pass in Arts, Physics and Agriculture while Male candidates were better in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Art and General paper.

UNEB Executive Secretary, Daniel Odongo said at least 95,839 have qualified for the award of the UACE.

A total of 36,656 students have passed with three Principal passes, about 26,467 got two principal passes, and 20,413 got one principal pass while 12,303 have attained one subsidiary while a total of 1,489 students have failed with an F-grade.

Odongo says History, Economics, Entrepreneurship Education, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Arts have shown better performance than in 2017. Geography improved at the A-Pass level while CRE, Literature in English, Agriculture and Biology declined.
