The territorial police in Katwe are hunting for a security guard identified as Geoffrey Obuku in connection to the murder of one Patrick Turyasingura, a resident of Kabowa in Wakiso district.
It is alleged that Turyasingura went missing on January 26, 2022 and his brother Norman Muhangi reported the case at Kabowa police to help in finding the missing person.
Three day later, the body of Turyasingula was found in a decomposed state in one Naome Tumwine’s septic tank of her unfinished storage buildings at Kabowa where the deceased was also renting.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson says that the postmortem report indicates that Turyasingura was strangled dead before dumped in a septic tank and currently Tumwine, the land lady together with Muhangi, the brother to the deceased are arrested to help in the investigations.
He adds that Obuku, the security guard is alleged to have disappeared a day Muhangi reported the case of missing person to police at Kabowa.
It is alleged that in 2020, a male tenant disappeared from the same Naome’s rentals which is now being analyzed.
