The General court martial Makindye has charged and remanded three people for the alleged murder of one corporal Richard Agaba, an officer in charge attached to Mbarara police station.

The three include Kassim Ayebazibwe 27 years, Dominic Twinomugisha 19 years and Julius Muhanguzi a 30 year old.

The three have been charged with two counts, one for aggravated robbery and murder which they have all denied.

Prosecution has revealed how investigations are done and accordingly a court led by Chairman Brigadier General Freeman Mugabe has set 5th June 2023 to start the hearing of the matter.

Prosecution alleges that the trio and others still at large at around the 8th day of September 2021 while at Mbaguta cell in Mbarara City with malice aforethought unlawfully caused the death of Corporal Richard Agaba.

It further alleges that on the very date and same place, the trio robbed SMG rifle with 30 rounds of ammunition and immediately before or after the time of the said robbery was in possession of a deadly weapon, the said gun being ordinarily a monopoly of the defense forces.

Corporal Agaba was the OC Ruharo Police Station in Kamukuzi Division, Mbarara City and the incident of his murder happened at Kiyanja about a half kilometer from Mbarara High School where the thugs ambushed him while he was responding to the scene of robbery where the said thugs had robbed people.
