The Archbishop of Kampala His Grace Paul Ssemogerere has called for more support to the needy amidst the hard economic situation the country is going through.

Archbishop Ssemogerere says that the supporting heart is for righteousness and should be adopted starting with the Catholics and other people from different religious affiliations by helping those in the communities that are mostly in need.

He made this statement during the homily at the Mapeera Bakateyamba elderly and disabled home in Nalukolongo where members of the Good Samaritans Group from the Archdiocese of Kampala gathered to celebrate their day on Thursday.

Mapeera Bakateyamba’s Home is a charity home for elderly and disabled people.

It was founded by the late Emmanuel Cardinal Emmanuel Nsubuga in 1997.

The Archbishop later reminded Ugandans to protect themselves from the deadly diseases like Ebola and Covid-19 by observing the Standard Operating Procedures.
