Government entities have been faulted for not paying debts amounting to Ugx36 billion shillings to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Among them include; State House, Ministries like Finance, Agriculture, Defense and Foreign Affairs. Others are Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and many more.

Appearing before the Parliamentary Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE), the CAA Executive Director Derrick Kakooba says that the above entities use aviation facilities like office space under the pretext of executing their duties at airport at the expense of government.

This prompted the COSASE Chairman Abdul Katuntu to summon the implicated entities to appear before the committee on Thursday to explain over the matter.
