Uganda’s She Cranes Skipper Peace Proscovia has assisted the country to defeat Wales in Group B matches after scoring 56 goals at the on-going 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in Australia.

The 76-40 win keeps Uganda with a mathematical chance of making it to the semi finals if they win Scotland tomorrow and New Zealand suffers a defeat to England by a big margin, while Malawi can also fall to Wales.

In boxing Uganda’s Shadir Musa Bwogi has lost in the 69kg quarter final stage this afternoon to a 22 year old England’s Pat McCormack who won the fight 5-0.

Tomorrow another Ugandan boxer Regan Simbwa will take to the ring in the 81kg weight category quarter final against Sammy Lee (Wales).

Meanwhile Emily Nanziri and Leni Shida have failed to qualify for the semi finals in the 400m they finished in 6th and 8th places in Heat 1 and 3 respectively.
