The Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) has written to the Chief Magistrate Makindye Court to withdraw charges of attempted murder against City Socialite Brian Kirumira alias Bryan White and his body guard Corporal Thomas Okot.

The directive comes just a day after Kirumira’s legal team comprising John Bulungu and Rama Omungu told Makindye Chief Magistrate Erias Kakooza that their client, had reached an out of court understanding for amicable settlement of the matter with his accusers.

Bryan White, together with his bodyguard corporal Thomas Okoth was charged with attempted murder for shooting at his neighbour Victor Bitwire on December 13, 2017 at his residence in Buziga Makindye division.

The Makindye Chief Magistrate Elias Kakooza accepted the request by the DPP before closing the case file.

Known for his showy life and dishing out money to various groups of people, especially those in need, Bryan White was in December caught on the wrong side of the law when he shot Bitwire whom he suspected of being a thief .

He would later be sent to the coolers at Luzira where he spent his Christmas season before he was later released on bail.
