The Police at Kira Road are hunting for a security guard attached to SGA Security Company for allegedly shooting dead a Khan Logistics Company driver.
The incident according to the police occurred last evening in Kyebando-Kisalosalo Zone, Kawempe Division in Kampala.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson identifies the deceased as Sabina Adaca also known as Francis Alele aged 36, a resident of Kyebando-Kisalosalo Zone.
He says at approximately 7:30pm, the deceased was allegedly intercepted by a security guard only identified as Achol, a resident of the same area who shot him around the chest while on the phone, attempting to exit a corridor.
Owoyesigyire says the assailant fled the scene with the weapon, leaving Adaca in a pool of blood on accusations of the victim’s involvement in extramarital affairs, which may have contributed to this unfortunate incident.
He says they are investigating the incident to establish all relevant facts and motives surrounding this heinous crime as they hunt for the suspects who are currently on the run.
The body of the deceased by press time was transferred to Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) mortuary for postmortem investigations.
Police however urges the public with information related to the incident to forward and assist the authorities in their investigations.
