African Catholic Bishops have emphasized evangelization of its people in response to the instruction made by now saint Pope Paul VI when he visited Uganda in 1969.

The Archbishop of Cape Cost, Accra Ghana Charles Gabriel Palmer Burkle says serious emphasis to have priests and religious from the south of Sahara taking part in evangelizing the Maghreb region that is infested with Jihadists is important.

Archbishop Palmer Burkle was giving up dates from the SECAM 18th Plenary discussions taking place at the Common Wealth Resort Munyonyo at the same time celebrating 50 years since it was started under the theme; Family Church of God in Africa celebrate your Jubilee proclaim Jesus Christ your savior.

The Archbishop of Blantyre in Malawi Thomas Luke Msusa said before African priests think of going to Europe and other developed world priority should start with Africa.

The Bishops have again acknowledged the need in the next 50 years of SECAM to have a formidable force of Catholics in Politics to give it its true sense of service.

So far the SECAM 18th plenary Conference is being attended by 9 cardinals 55 Archbishops, 106 Bishops, 60 priests and religious and other delegates.
