The special SECAM 18TH Plenary Assembly at the Common Wealth Resort Munyonyo has entered its third day with intense discussions on the protection of minors from any kind of abuse.

There have been a number of child abuse cases that has painfully caused Pope Francis to go public seeking for empathy, protection and understanding of the minors as people who need special treatment.

The Archbishop of Blantyre in Malawi Thomas Luke Msusa says African Bishops want to give new attention to the minors in the coming 50 years of SECAM.

Meanwhile the Archbishop of Cape Cost, Accra Ghana Charles Gabriel Palmer Burkle says among the discussions the Catholic Church is demanded to cup up with what they have called Organic Pastoral solidarity education that gives not only intellectual education but human minded education.

This afternoon the SECAM Bishops are taking a pastoral visit to the Parliament of Uganda and the Uganda Martyrs Trail from Munyonyo to Namugongo before the convene closed sessions from Thursday to Saturday when they will also come out with the newly elected office bearers.

SECAM Golden Jubilee celebrations are running under the theme; Family Church of God in Africa celebrate your Jubilee proclaim Jesus Christ your savior. And the grand celebrations are slated for this Sunday July 28, 2019 at the Uganda Martyrs Catholic Shrine Namugngo starting with Mass at 10am.
