A number of Schools are holding blessing masses for the Primary Seven Candidates who are starting their examinations tomorrow.

According to the Uganda National Examinations Board UNEB plan tomorrow 7th will be the briefing and Wednesday 8th the candidates will be writing their papers starting with Mathematics in the morning and Social Studies in the evening and will end on Thursday 9th November with Science in the morning and English in the evening.

During the blessing mass at St. Peters Primary School Nsambya today the School Chaplain Fr. Wenceslaus Kkonde thanked the teachers and school administrators for the job well-done in 7 or 8 years to prepare the candidates for the examinations.

To the candidates Fr. Kkonde urged them to believe and hold their faith strong that they will emerge successful.

Fr. Kkonde challenged the parents to take their responsibility serious because much of the generational challenges among children like indecent dressing, drugs and substance abuse, indiscipline among others is due to parental neglect.

St. Peters Nsambya will have a total of 519 candidates sitting for this year’s PLE 268 are girls while 251 are boys.

The total number of registered candidates expected to sit for PLE examinations stands at 749,371, which is less by 83,438 (10%) of the number of candidates who sat for PLE last year that was 832,809.
