President Museveni will address the country TOMORROW on the next step after the expiry of the ban on both private and public transport and Curfew by the end of the day today.

On March 30, the president announced a 14-day lockdown in which he banned all vehicles except those carrying cargo and food stuffs as well as other businesses apart from food markets and supermarkets.

The president also announced a 14-day night curfew starting 7pm to 6:30 am every day that has expired today.

However, in a statement by the Senior Presidential Press Secretary, Don Wanyama, through his twitter says the president will address the nation on the next course of action tomorrow, Tuesday April 14, 2020.

Within the 32 days ban of all schools the president also issued more than 30 directives to control the spread of the deadly Coronavirus that include shopping arcades, hotels, bars, lodges, taxi and bus parks, and many other workplaces unless they provided accommodation. Only essential staff was left to work among them are; health workers, media, electricity, water, telecom, URA, Banks, private and government security forces.

Uganda currently has 54 confirmed Covid-19 cases but four of these have since been discharged after being cured from the deadly virus.

At least 15 others are also expected to be discharged from hospital in two days’ time.

This comes as Police is investigating one Adam Obec a KCCA payroll officer and a resident of Mutungo over spreading false information through his facebook that one person had died of Coronavirus in Koboko, which information is said to create fear and panic among members of the public but it also demoralizes the Ministry of Health and government efforts in combating the spread of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.
