Pray through the Uganda martyrs for the Country Uganda

The 9 day special prayers ahead of the Uganda martyrs day celebrations on June 3^rd has entered its third day, under the theme; Like the Uganda Martyrs full of faith, hope and love, we shall overcome.

Each diocese through the ordinary was given the mandate to prepare for this day, however the celebration of the martyrs day follows the 9 day Novena that started on Sunday.

The Archbishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga advised, to have the Novena observed at the Catholic Shrine Namugongo, where masses are celebrated every day with observance of the different martyrs as patrons of various activities.

The Chancellor of Kampala Fr. Pius Male while leading the 2^nd day of the novena last evening called for trust in God over this trying moment of COVID-19 and always for he will never forget his people.

Today is the third day of the Uganda martyrs novena and the Shrine Director of Namugongo Fr. Vincent Lubega has reminded Christians to pray through the Uganda Martyrs Sts. Andrew Kaggwa, Anatoli Kiriggwajjo, Daudi Okero and Gildo Irwa and Yakobo Buuzaabalyawo the patrons of Teachers, Catechists, Businessmen and women and hunters to intercede for this country.
