Police tells Minister Nandutu to report at CID

Police have warned Ministers involved in the Karamoja irons sheets scandal to desist from hiding away from the ongoing investigations once summoned at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters Kibuli.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson while addressing a news conference at Naguru on Monday cites the State Minister for Karamoja Affairs Agnes Nandutu who failed to respond to the summons that required her to report to CID headquarters Kibuli last week.

Enanga says that most of the investigations on the iron sheets scandal have been completed but the investigating team is conducting some background traces after missing out on some of the witnesses.

By press time, Enanga confirmed that the State Minister of Finance Amos Lugolobi would be presented before court as the third suspect to be charged over the diversion of Karamoja iron sheets.
