Youths from the Opposition united forces of Change front have hard running battles with the police as they tried to plant trees and banana sackers in potholes in Lubaga division.

It has been hide-and-sick as the youth’s evaded arrest but wanted to fulfill their planned demonstration by planting the trees in major potholes along different roads.

The opposition political parties announced the country wide demonstration over bad roads starting today Thursday 18th and the leaders directed their subjects to plant trees in the potholes.

The youths group leader  Habib Buwembo while addressing journalists along Yusufu Nsibambi Junction in Mengo Lubaga North, explained that they are tired of the government negligence and it’s time for the public and all change seeking forces to raise up and join the fight against bad roads and governance in Uganda.

Buwembo says it’s shameful for the government to construct only roads leading to where the international conferences like Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) are hosted but the rest of the areas where taxpaying Ugandans work remains in a sorry state.

Meanwhile, other youths have vowed to continue demonstrating until all roads are constructed.
