Police have obtained about 50 videos from the TikTok account of a social media influencer Ibrahim Musana alias Pressure 24 Seven to act as exhibits against him for abusing the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II via social media.
Musana came under fire after videos of him attacking the Buganda Kingdom, the Kabaka and the Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga spread on the internet and had no other option but to go into hiding.
While addressing the media on Monday, the Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga says that Musana (27), a resident of Kawuga in Mukono and also Kira road was arrested over the weekend on charges of hate crimes, incitement of violence, defamation and offensive communication.
Enanga says that Pressure 24 Seven who has been using TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp to attack the Kabaka is currently in the hands of the Director CID at Kibuli as his case files are processed for court on various charges of Misuse of Social Media, Hate speech, malicious information under Computer Misuse Act and Incitement of violence.
Katikkiro Mayiga also confirmed the news via his official social media accounts as he thanked the minister of journalism in the Buganda Kingdom and the spokesperson for doing a great job in making sure the TikToker is held accountable.
He added that they are ready to take on Pressure 24 Seven as the law prescribes courts explaining that from some investigations it’s alleged that Pressure 24 Seven is a stubborn fellow since childhood at his home in Mbale before he relocated to Kampala.
