Special Police Constable, Francis Tindyebwa from Kyegegwa main police station has passed on after being attacked by a mentally ill man.

 

Vincent Twesigye, the Rwenzori Regional Police Spokesperson, says that the deceased was guarding the quarter guard when he was attacked.

 

According to Twesigye, the suspect hit the SPC with a stone on the head injuring him severely.

 

He was rushed to the Kyegegwa General hospital, which referred him to Mulago National Referral Hospital where he breathed on Sunday evening.

 

The suspect was later arrested with the help of the public and is currently admitted at Kyegegwa general hospital under the watch of two police guards as investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
