Parliament has been closed to the Parliamentary Business following the following explosions at the IPS building opposite Kampala Capital City Authority-KCCA that is near the Parliamentary building and the quarter guard at CPS Kampala this morning.

The blasts went off a few minutes after 10 am triggering panic in the area. Two police officers could be seen lying lifelessĀ on the groundĀ near the blast scene between Jubilee Tower and Queen’s Chambers.

Parliament was having business as usual, including the Ad hoc committee investigating the alleged mismanagement of over 30 billion Shillings by the the Minister for Science and Technology Dr Monica Musenero

Ntungamo Municipality Member of Parliament Yona Musinguzi who presented the claims to the floor of parliament says he has evidence implicating the Minister Dr Monica Musenero in the theft and embezzlement of over 31 billion shillings made for the production of a locally made COVID-19 Vaccine.

Musinguzi was destined to appear before the committee today that is headed by Hon. Xavier Kyooma the Ibanda North MP while Dr. Musenero was to appear before the same committee tomorrow. According to our reporter MPs have been stopped from accessing parliament for unlimited time due to the bomb blasts.

In a related development businesses along Kampala road have closed all the way from the Victoria University to Sure house on Bombo road in fear of uncertainty following the two bomb blasts.

Those in the lower are of the central business area commonly known as down town are going normal with their businesses.
