Opposition MPs walk out of Parliament protesting torture, brutality in Uganda

Opposition Members of Parliament- MPs have stormed out of parliament in protest of the continued brutal arrest and torture of Ugandans.

This comes after a video that went viral of a novelist Rukirabashaija Kakwenza stripping naked showing the scars of torture by the Special Forces Command -SFC.

The action of moving out by the opposition came after the Leader of Opposition Matthias Mpuuga raised a matter of national importance about the continued torture of Ugandans and unresolved pending updates on the release of political prisoners by the government.

Mpuuga wanted parliament to prioritize the debate on what the government is undertaking to protect the rights of innocent Ugandans which wasn’t supported by the Deputy Speaker Anita Among forcing the Masaka Municipality MP who also doubles as the National Unity Platform-NUP deputy President for Buganda to direct his side of opposition to match out of parliament.

Furthermore to make matters worse none of the government ministers was present in the house to defend the matter.
