The Archbishop of Kampala Paul Ssemogerere has blessed the construction works of a multi-Complex commercial building at St. Peters Parish Nsambya.

The Shs 2.8 billion storied building of six floors is purposely constructed to support Parish activities as an income generating project.

Leading the mass before the blessing of the construction works Archbishop Ssemogerere said Uganda is blessed with generous Christians who are always ready and available to support church activities and their contribution is never taken for granted.

He was happy that he is entrusted with the blessing of this construction works because since his appointment as the Archbishop of Kampala in January 2022 he has been commissioning projects started by the late Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, challenging Parishioners of Nsambya to commit themselves to complete the building in one year.

One of the parishioners Hon Jane Bainomugisha Woman MP Ibanda district and her family contributed Shs 3.5 million as one of the fundraisers and encouraged the congregation to support the Catholic Church development activities as its one of the areas the NRM government is emphasizing in the efforts to fight poverty.

The construction works is being under taken by JEFCON Construction Company.
