The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) in parliament has reshuffled some of its members sitting on Accountability committees of Parliament.

This came after the Speaker of Parliament Anita Among directed the political party chief whips to re-designate members who absconded from attending the induction meeting which was organized at Kigo Serena Hotel last week.

Parliament had organized the induction training to orient MPs designated on Parliamentary Accountability committees to equip them with skills on how to interrogate witnesses on matters of accountabilities, however to the shock of the Speaker Among, few MPs had attended.

It’s from this that the Speaker Among who sounded angry, directed all political party chief whips to re-designate members who failed to attend the induction training with no excuse and also clerk to parliament t to transfer staffs on those committees to other none committees which NRM responded immediately through their Chief Whip Hamson Obua.

In reply to the Speakers communication, LOP Joel Ssenyonyi asked Speaker Among also to act on the ruling NRM Ministers who always miss plenary sittings.

LOP Ssenyonyi further pleaded to Speaker Among to first accord a fair hearing to the MPs who missed the induction before implementation of the decision.
