The Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement [NRM] Richard Todwong has warned NRM party leaders at sub county level to desist from using the motorcycles given to them for party activities for their own businesses.
He revealed this at the party headquarters while handing over 26 motorcycles to the remaining NRM chairperson at sub county level who didn’t receive in the first bunch.
He also advised them to avoid removing party colors from these motorcycles since its one of the mobilizing strategy warning that punitive measures are yet to be employed against them.
In 2016 while at Namboole stadium president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is also the NRM Party chairperson pledged to buy motorcycles for all NRM leaders at sub county level within this 5 year political term.
The distribution of 2,069 motorcycles to all NRM Sub County Chairpersons commenced in September 2020 and has been concluded with many NRM Chairpersons paying gratitude to the party for having fulfilled its pledge.
