NRM invites IPOD, Rwanda to its National Conference

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has extended invite to the Opposition parties under the Interparty Coalition for Dialogue (IPOD) to attend its third national conference that is starting this Saturday January 25^th 2020.

On the invite are also who they call friends from Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, China among others according to the NRM party spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa.

The IPOD consists of parties with representation in Parliament, which is NRM, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Justice Forum (Jeema), Democratic Party and Uganda People’s Congress.

But the Opposition has persistently accused NRM-O for suffocating the political space in this country by using the security forces to suppress their activities.

Mulindwa said the decision to invite the Opposition was based on “cordial working relations and have a lot to learn from the NRM but them too, learn from the invited guests.”
