The State Minister for Housing Persis Namuganza has not appeared before the Parliament’s Select Committee investigating her alleged misconduct and use of unparliamentary language which led to the move to censure her from the ministerial position.

Namuganza instead sent her lawyer Norman Pande from Mwanja and Pande Company Advocates who was also chased after giving unsatisfactory responses to the questions of the committee members.

It’s from this that the Chairperson of the Committee Mwine Mpaka extended another opportunity to Namuganza and directed her Counsel to go and advise the minister to appear next week on Tuesday.

It should be remembered that the seven-member select committee was appointed by the Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa last week to investigate and gather evidence in relation to the censure motion moved by Agago North MP Amos Okot accusing Namuganza for using unparliamentarily language against the institution of Parliament and Speaker of Parliament.
