The Opposition Cabinet chaired by the Chief Opposition Whip, John Baptist Nambeshe has resolved to meet the two factions of Forums for Democratic Change (FDC) party on reconciliation.

Since the conflicts erupted in the party between a faction led by the FDC President, Patrick Oboi Amuriat and Secretary General Nathan Nandala Mafabi and the Katonga based faction led by the former party leader, Dr. Kizza Besigye over alleged billions of shillings that were allegedly received by some top officials from the NRM camp, the rift between the two sides has been growing.

The rift also saw the FDC Secretary General sack the FDC Whip in Parliament, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda and the Party President also summoned a number of party leaders including; Erias Lukwago the deputy President for Central Region, Ssemujju Nganda, and Mubarak Munyagwa among others to face the Disciplinary Committee of the party over misconduct.

Now Nambeshe reveals that the alternative Government has resolved that the Leader of the Opposition, Mathias Mpuuga convenes an Opposition Caucus meeting as part of the efforts to reconcile the warring factions.
