The Principal Administrative Secretary for Mukono Central division Abubaker Wasajja who doubles as the labour officer has survived death at Seret grains Uganda Limited where he had gone to ensure that management complies with paying local taxes.
Seret grains Uganda Limited situated at Kigombya, Mukono Central division, Mukono municipality is said to have been defaulting local taxes amounting to 15 million shillings for the past 5 years.
Abubaker Wasajja, the principal Administrative Secretary approached the factory premises on Wednesday morning and the security harassed him on the orders of the management to leave their premises at gunpoint.
They also called workers to evict him which he says was inhuman and against the law.
Wasajja has threatened to drag the management to courts of law questioning their levels of impunity which has been exhibited by obstructing a lawful officer on duty.
