Muslim world over thronged Mosques and Prayer centers to lead Eid Adha prayers and later fulfilled the custom of slaughtering an animal in remembrance of the great grandfather Ibrahim who almost sacrificed his only son Isaac but God provided him a Sheep.
In Uganda Muslim Leaders called on government to scrutinize that laws formulated to help in the general administration and also investigate the cause of the rampant killings that have shocked residents of Entebbe and Nansana.
The Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramadan Mubajje while at Old Kampala National Mosque, he has reminded Muslims of their duty to be peaceful and coexist with Ugandans of other religions as per the teachings of Islam.
Sheikh Mubajje thanked government for adhering to their call and produce Muslims who have been arrested and charged in connection to the killings of Muslim clerics in the courts of law and urged those who were sentenced to seek justice in the court of appeal.
He also congratulated Ugandan Muslims who managed to fly to Saudi Arabia for the pilgrimage in the holy cities of Mecca and Madina and urged those who didn’t to pray that Allah enables them fulfill this fifth pillar of Islam.
