The leader of Opposition in parliament Mathias Mpuuga has dismissed media reports that there’s power struggle in the National Unity Party-NUP.

This is after media rumors circulating that during last week’s NUP caucus at Busabala, some members of the party accused each other of corruption, supremacy and divisions that undermine cohesion in the platform.

Speaking to media at parliament this Monday, Mpuuga denied all the accusations and termed them as state managed rumors aimed at disorganizing and breaking up NUP.

He however clarifies that the meeting was on assessing the performance of the parliament, challenges faced in a year since elections and the way forward.

It’s from this that Mpuuga mocked all those behind such propaganda against NUP adding that NUP is a party not an association that is about to fail or end.
