MPs and Ministers are crowding the Gazette for name change.

Many High profile politicians who include Ministers, Members of parliament and the President of Uganda have been published in this week’s gazette by the Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation to have taken a Deed Poll to verify change of their names.

Many have been taking names that were not officially on their academic documents while others had taken on their spouses’ names which have to be confirmed under the laws by taking an affidavit and a deed poll.

Among them are; KUMAMA NSAMBA GEORGE WILSON MP for Bbaale County, Kayunga District changing from OKUMAMA GEORGE. Jimmy Akena the president of a political Party UPC is officially taking on AKENA JAMES MICHAEL JIMMY, former minister of energy her official names were IRENE MARGARET NAFUNA who is officially adopting NAFUNA-MULONI IRENE MARGARET.

Others are minister for micro finance who on his academic papers had KYEYUNE HALUNA is officially taking on KYEYUNE HARUNA KASOLO, Kalungu West MP Ssewungu Joseph is officially taking SSEWUNGU JOSEPH GONZAGA, former Attorney general who was called RUHINDI FREDDIE is now taking on RUHINDI FREDRICK and lastly President Yoweri Museveni  has been gazette for his change of names officially in the deed poll to YOWERI TIBUHABURWA KAGUTA MUSEVENI through  the  K&K Advocates.
