Kira Municipality Member of Parliament Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has clashed with the Speaker of Parliament Anita Among over the concern of Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s ongoing birthday parties.

Nganda during Tuesday’s plenary, raised a matter of concern saying it’s of worry to see a serving army officer involving the political leaders especially MPs in his political ambitions under the disguise of hosting birthday parties.

Last week MPs played in a football match with UPDF serving officers at the KCCA playgrounds at Lugogo as one of Muhoozi’s birthday celebrations, something Nganda says is dangerous and unconstitutional for a serving army officer to engage in.

Nganda further demanded a report from the Government to Parliament on the relation status between Uganda and Rwanda which had worsened in the last four years but lately surprisingly Rwandan President Paul Kagame appeared in Uganda at Muhoozi’s birthday dinner.

However in reply the Speaker Among said it was okay for MPs to attend both the birthday party and the football match and also clarified that the birthday party was financed by Muhoozi’s father who is President Yoweri Museveni but not public funds.
