Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Hajjati Minsa Kabanda has challenged graduates to upgrade their education in order to compete in job market.

 

Officiating at the 10th graduation ceremony of Team University in Kampala, Kabanda said by the fact that employment opportunities continue to get competitive it’s important for Ugandan graduates to avoid the comfort zones but embrace upgrading to gain professionalism and competence in different academic disciplines to change the country.

 

She said Uganda is undergoing social economic and political transformation which has to be research driven by competent persons and these must be Ugandan from higher intuitions of learning.

 

A total of 1,777 students graduated in various academic processions, at Masters Degree, Degrees diploma and Certificate levels. 791 of the graduands were Female while 986 were Male.

 

Meanwhile Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere the Chancellor Team University has urged graduates to employ their skills now than waiting for luck and above all respect the community they are to serve.
