Minister Nadduli urges Katikkiro Mayiga to review Buganda- Kooki agreement

The Minister without Portfolio Hajji Abdul Nadduli has advised the Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga to call for a dialogue meeting to review the 1895 Buganda-Kooki agreement.

Addressing the media at the Prime Minister’s office, Nadduli warned that the grumbling due to leadership structure between Buganda Kingdom and Kooki County might result into cultural wars if not resolved.

Recently, some cultural heads and security officers attempted to block Katikkiro Mayiga from accessing Kooki where he had gone to promote coffee production under the program locally known as “Mwanyi Terimba” at the end of November 2018.

However, Minister Nadduli believes that there is still room for dialogue spearheaded by Buganda kingdom to solve the impetus.
