The Bishop of Masaka diocese Rt. Rev. Serverus Jjumba has been credited for the remarkable contribution towards the development of the diocese in the last 4 years as the ordinary.

All dignitaries, Christians and well-wishers who gathered at Bukulula Parish today to commemorate the 4th anniversary since he was installed and consecrated as the 4th ordinary of this diocese hipped praises for steering transformation in the diocese.

His Consecration and Installation as the Shepherd of Masaka was held on 6th of July 2019 at Kitovu Sports Arena where the late bishop John Baptist Kaggwa handed over powers to him after clocking 75 years of age the mandatory age for a Bishop to retire in the Roman Catholic Church.

The celebrations for the 4th anniversary have been held under the theme “Let Us Build Families in Small Communities“starting with a Eucharistic celebration led by Bishop Jjumba.

In the homily given by Rev. Fr. Simon Peter Kamulegeya the in charge of Birinzi Prayer Center, he applauded Bishop Jjumba for accepting God’s call to lead his people.

He said the achievements so far in the diocese cover a range of sectors that contribute to the social transformation of the people and society that is education by supporting schools, health centers, and farmers among other developmental areas.
