The Professor of Economics at Makerere University Augustus Nuwagaba has lauded President Museveni for creating the State House Investors Protection Unit reasoning that it will lock out loopholes that have been discouraging investors in the country.
In his message shortly after he paid a courtesy visit to the Head of State House Investors Protection Unit Col Edith Nakalema, Prof Nuwagaba appreciated Museveni for creating the Electronic Investors Protection Portal which he believes will be pivotal in easing processes of addressing concerns of investors in Uganda.
He is therefore optimistic that the verified information from key Ministries, Departments and Agencies to the investors in a seamless manner will also reduce bureaucratic processes previously suffered by investors.
Prof Nuwagaba further credited the Unit for introducing an Electronic Investors Protection Portal which now serves as a one-stop-center for all investors to get guidance and the authentic information that it is going to support investment decisions.
