Police have denied receiving any complaint in connection to the threats against the Kampala Lord Mayor Eria Lukwago.

This is after Lukwago last week asked for Parliamentary intervention due to fearing for his life based on the growing concern over the current poor state of Uganda’s roads characterized by huge potholes.

While interfacing with the House’s Physical Infrastructure Committee on May 11 as he gave a report on allegations of inflated Bills of Quantities for civil works in Uganda’s capital, Lukwago accused the State Minister for Kampala Kabuye Kyofatogabye for sending him a threatening Whatsapp message.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson confirms that Lukwago has never filed any threat related case as he alleges in the media.

He however appeals to Lukwago and other politicians who always report such serious cases of live threatening instead of remaining on social media complaining.
