The Archbishop of Church of Uganda Dr Stephen Kazimba Mugalu has called on the government to consider re-opening of church attendances for children as a gift for Easter celebrations.

Delivering his Easter Message at All Saints Cathedral this morning, the Most Reverend Kazimba attributes children’s return to school being a sign that they can attend church services since the Church itself is also very ready to receive them for only one hour per week in an organized way that upholds the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

He emphasizes that children need to be in churches with their families though he still encourages everyone to worship daily at home even if they attend churches on Sundays.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kazimba re-emphasizes the mixed messages circulating on social media about the safety of the Covid-19 vaccine saying that he consulted the leading physicians in hospitals and discovered that the vaccine is safe to human life and has the benefit of protecting people from serious cases of the disease.

Kazimba has also appealed to the government to follow-through its commitment to find people who mysteriously disappeared during the election period and return them to their families.
