Government has challenged for failure to fulfill the Presidential promise of providing sanitary towels to girls to support their stay School.

During 2016 general election president Museveni gave a directive to the Ministry of Health to work out modalities of delivering sanitary towels to girls in schools to support their education.

At launch of the newly accredited reusable sanitary pads called Days for Girls, the Woman Member of Parliament (MP) Kyotera District Robina Ssentongo said it’s disheartening for government to consistently fail to provide sanitary towels even in the UGX 3.28 Trillion allocated to the ministry of Education in the National budget 2019/20 yet girls are said to be at the forefront of the government education program.
