Kampala capital city councilors have for the second time resolved to meet the technical wing to forge away forward in line with their operations.
This follows a letter dated 5th this month signed by the acting executive director Samuel Sserunkuma boycotting council meeting today saying that they should engage the members of the authority to review the said rules of procedures, a work plan of the authority be developed among other issues.
In a council meeting today chaired by the mayor of Kampala Erias Lukwago ,councilors informed that they are tired of the technical wing frustrating their activities yet they are also incapacitated by the ongoing politics spearheaded by the minister for Kampala Betty Kamya for them to boycott council meetings.
In the previous meeting they resolved to put up a select committee headed by the deputy lord mayor Sarah kanyike to sit with the technical wing to resolve the impasse. .
However the lord mayor Erias lukwago has downplayed the efforts saying the technical wing has been at the forefront in failing the operations of the council as required by the law.
