The Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga has advised youths to stop lamenting but use available opportunities including the social media to solve unemployment problem.

 

He made the remarks at Bulange Mengo while meeting the leadership of the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) led by Stephen Mwanga, noting that youths have failed to use social media responsibly to fight unemployment but keep on gossiping on none issues and promoting falsehoods.

 

He appealed to PRAU to use all the necessary skills via social media to educate the public on various issues especially those concerning the kingdom since they are experts in communication.

 

The PRAU President Stephen Mwanga vowed to create awareness on kingdom’s development agenda to the public via various platforms.

 

The aim of the meeting was to forge a way forward on how they can work with the kingdom on various issues such as health, trade, cultural norms among others.
