The Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga has rallied the Rubaga division political leaders including the Deputy Resident City Commissioner to protect the Kabaka’s land from grabbers.

 

Officiating at the 17th graduation ceremony for this institution today, Mayega cited the Kabaka’s land where Buganda Royal Institute of Business and Technical Education in Kakeeka Mengo is located doesn’t fall into the hands of scrupulous land grabbers.

 

He explains that much of the institute’s land has been illegally occupied by people who want to profit on the assets of others, thus appealing to local residents to protect it against grabbers.

 

On the side of the graduates, Katikiro Mayiga advised them to employ the skills obtained at the institute to start up their own jobs without forgetting that experience is key and further studies.

 

The Buganda kingdom minister of education Prosperous Nankindu Kavuma noted some of the reasons contributing to persistent youth unemployment to laziness and indiscipline.

 

The Principle of Buganda royal Institute of Business and education Mengo, Anthony Wamala noted that those that have graduated have received the necessary skills that require anybody to start any job.

 

A total of 1031 students have graduated with various disciplines of which 565 are female, 466 are males, 482 graduated with diploma and 599 with certificates.
