The Prosecutors Office of the International Criminal Court in Hague has revealed that its working hard to ensure that Ugandan militant who founded the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), Joseph Kony is charged over his offences.

 

This has been revealed by Santa Anna Dahirou the International Cooperation Advisor; Office of the Prosecutor during a press conference at Hotel Africana on Friday morning.

 

Kony who is believed to be in hiding currently faces 33 charges before this court and prosecution led by Karim Khan wants these charges to be confirmed in his absenture but are considering other charges against him.

 

Among the 33charges against Kony are; 11 counts of crimes against Humanity; murder, sexual enslavement, 21 counts of war crimes including rape, forced enlistment of children.

 

A 5 million USD bounty was put up by ICC on Kony’s head for anyone who knows where to locate him; because he is the longest standing suspect wanted by Court for now 17years.
