Buganda Kingdom has instituted a committee of nine people to corporate with the family of the late Godfrey Kaaya Kavuma in organizing the funeral.
The committee appointed by the Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga is chaired by the second Deputy Katikiro Robert Wagwa Nsimbirwa and deputized by David Mpanga among other members.
Earlier, Mayiga had disclosed to the Press a spécial guest for the 26th Coronation Anniversary of the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, as the Sultan of Sokoto Mohammed Abubaker Saadi who is expected in the country in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The first delegation accompanying the Sultan of Sokoto has already arrived in the country and are expected to tour the original home of Fumble (African Civet) clan at Bakka and Mamba (Lang Fish) clan in Buwaya Busiro County in Wakiso district along with Kabaka Muwenda Mutebi II.
On Wednesday 31st, Sultan will visit Kabaka’s palace in Katabi subcounty and plant a tree of remembrance before attending the main celebrations at Nkumba.
On 1st August, the delegation of sultan will visit Lubiri high school in Buloba campus and also tour the Kabaka Njagala avenue and later in the day he will be officially welcomed as a special guest at Bulange Mengo.
On Friday this week, Sultan will participate in prayers at the Supreme Mosque at Kibuli Mosque before his departure in the evening.
Katikiro Mayiga has reminded on the people of Buganda to welcome Kabaka’s special guest in big numbers.
