The daughter of murdered businessman Henry Katanga, Martha Nkwazi Katanga has finally appeared before the Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon.

This comes after the Nakawa Chief Magistrate Erias Kakooza issued a warrant of arrest against her for failing to adhere to court summons.

She is being charged for tampering with evidence after her father’s death which occurred more than two months ago on November 2nd, 2023.

According to reports, Patricia Kakwanza and Martha Nkwanzi tampered with the evidence at the crime scene to make it untraceable for legal purposes.

The other accused are; George Amanyire, a 30-year-old shamba boy, Patricia Kakwanza, the deceased’s 31-year-old daughter and Charles Otai, a health worker, who is accused of accessory to murder.

Molly Katanga, the widow, has not yet been charged.

According to prosecution, Henry Katanga was shot and killed on November 2nd 2023, at his family home in Mbuya, Nakawa Division in Kampala, reportedly by his 55-year-old wife, Molly.

By press time court was on a short break but was expected to continue afterwards to enable the accused; Nkwanzi, to enter a plea on Wednesday.
