The Former ISO boss Bagyenda Kaka, also the newly appointed Angola Ambassador has not shown up before the parliamentary appointments committee.

Kaka who was summoned on 28th October last month was meant to appear before the committee at 10:30am for vetting on his new appointment but to the shock of Mps, Kaka didn’t appear and no formal reason was given.

Speaking to some of the committee members like Nakaseke south Mp paul Luttamaguzi and Kalungu west Mp Joseph Ssewungu said this is contempt of parliament by Kaka who even one time failed to appear before the parliamentary Human Rights Committee during investigations into safe-houses.

They added that this clearly showed that Kaka can’t represent the country effectively in Angola if at roll he can turn down the parliamentary invitation.

Kaka’s appointment recently came with a cost of 1bn shs to set up a new mission in Angola formally where it wasn’t through a supplementary budget under the ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Meanwhile the committee has vetted and approved the newly appointed ambassador to Kenya Dr Hassan Galiwango who replaces H.E Phoebe Otaala.

Speaking to Dr Galiwango after interaction with the committee, said that the interface was fair and he promised to improve of the economic and security situations btn Kenya and Uganda as advised by the appointee president Yoweri Museveni.
