The Judiciary is mourning the demise of her former Judiciary Permanent Secretary, Kagole Expedito Kivumbi, who succumbed to Covid-19

Kagole 58, died last evening from Le Memorial Medical Services at Kitiko-Lubowa, Kigo Road where he had been admitted a week ago in a statement by the Judiciary the Principal Communications Officer, Solomon Muyita.

He said the Judiciary is working closely with the family to coordinate the funeral arrangements, and that they will be communicated subsequently.

By the time of his death, Kagole Kivumbi’s woes related to misappropriation of funds amounting to UGX 275 million discovered by the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee headed by Nathan Nandala Mafabi basing on the Auditor General’s report for the Financial Year 2017/2018,were still raging and was still on forced leave by the head of the Public Service, John Mitala.

However, the High Court in Kampala had in December ruled that Kivumbi’s continued forced leave was illegal.
