Efforts by security to trace the whereabouts of Joseph Mugume, the Manager Kagadi Nile Beer Depot and Rashid Edema, a security guard following their alleged kidnap in October last year, have failed to yield results.
The two were allegedly kidnapped by unknown thugs from the depot on October 23rd, 2019.
It is alleged that the thugs disarmed the guard before they held Mugume at gunpoint. They robbed Shillings 15 million before bundling the two into unidentified vehicle and sped off.
Detectives from Kagadi Central Police Station who rushed to the crime scene found blood stains and a bullet cartridge at the spot where Mugume is believed to have been nabbed by the thugs.
The Albertine Region Police Spokesperson Julius Hakiza, says that their efforts to trace for the missing persons haven’t yielded results.
Hakiza says even the family members of the kidnap victims haven’t heard from.
